Melanie Ouellette is a Master Stylist and Salon Owner with nearly 30 years of experience in the beauty industry, specializing in color, advanced blonding techniques, and special event styling. A graduate of Blaine Hair and Beauty School in 1995, where she finished at the top of her class, Melanie built a strong foundation rooted in both technical excellence and creativity. She went on to establish herself in West Palm Beach, Florida, where she excelled in color and special event styling and played an instrumental role in developing and leading an advanced color education program.
In 2007, Melanie relocated to Austin, Texas, bringing her expertise and passion for mentorship with her. She founded JSP Hair and Color Design in 2010 as an independent stylist, steadily building a loyal clientele and reputation for exceptional work. In 2023, she expanded into a brick and mortar salon, growing a talented team of stylists and creating a space dedicated to artistry and elevated client care.
Throughout her career, Melanie has pursued extensive advanced training in blonding and special event styling, working with leading professional brands including L’Oréal, Wella, Kérastase, and Kevin Murphy. Deeply passionate about education, innovation, and the client experience, she continues to refine her craft while mentoring the next generation of stylists and pushing the boundaries of modern hairstyling.
